Lavender, The Mosquito Repellent Plant
Lavender which has the Latin name Lavandula Afficinalis is one type of flower plant that originates from the South Mediterranean Sea region to Africa. Not only are the flowers beautiful, this lavender plant also has a fragrant aroma and can relax the minds of those who smell it. The aroma that comes out of this lavender plant has long been believed to be able to repel mosquitoes because it contains substances called linalool and lynalyl acetate which are not liked by mosquitoes.

Taking lavender seeds usually uses flower seeds. Selection of good lavender seeds using old seeds is then sown, then seeds are planted in small pots or using polybags. This process takes 7-14 days for lavender seeds to grow.

After growing, remove the lavender buds in a larger pot, then place them in the corners of the house. Not only can you repel mosquitoes, lavender flowers can also be a home decoration so it looks more beautiful and natural.
